Vape Flavours Without Menthol: Every Non-Ice Name on VapeVic

Published by the VapeVic team

Ask for vape flavours without menthol and most shops will point you at whatever is left after the Ice names are taken out, which on some devices is not much. This guide does the sorting properly. It goes through all four devices on VapeVic, lists every name that carries no cooling in it, explains how we are reading the names (and, for CRWN's house names, the box), and is honest about the one name that does not tell us enough to say.

Adults only. Everything on VapeVic, this guide included, is for people in Australia aged 18 or over who already use nicotine. We make no health claims for any product, give no health advice, and would not encourage anyone to take up vaping on the strength of a flavour list.

How to read a flavour name

Disposable makers follow a naming convention that is more reliable than it looks. The word Ice at the end of a name — or Iced, in the case of a tea — means a menthol or cooling finish has been added. A name without it is the fruit, lolly or drink on its own. That convention is the basis of every list below: we are reading the names, not making tasting claims beyond what the ingredients in them imply.

Two things the convention cannot do. It cannot tell you how strong the cooling is on the Ice names, which varies by brand, and it cannot tell you anything about a name that describes no ingredient at all; for those we use the maker's printed ingredient list where there is one. Both limits come up below.

EVOK Blaze: the warmest list on the site

The EVOK Blaze is where a menthol-averse buyer should start, simply on the numbers: of its 16 flavours, twelve have no Ice in the name — the highest share among the devices that sell Ice versions at all (the CRWN Infinity, below, has none). They sort into three groups.

  • Strawberry pairings, uncooled: Strawberry Watermelon, Strawberry Kiwi and Strawberry Lychee. The first two are notable because the IGET devices only sell those pairings as Ice versions.
  • Berry and pomegranate blends: Cherry Pomegranate, Blackberry Cherry Pomegranate, Blackberry Strawberry, Kiwi Pomegranate and Raspberry Grape Mango.
  • The sweet-shop trio: Fruity Skittles, Chuppa Chupps Grape and Chuppa Chupps Strawberry.

The twelfth is Dynamic Mint, which belongs in a separate conversation further down. The Blaze also runs 12,000 puffs on a sealed cell, so if one of these turns out to be your flavour you will be with it for a while.

IGET One: fourteen names, four of them lollies

The IGET One carries 23 flavours, nine of them cooled, which leaves fourteen without Ice. Four are the Chuppa Chupps entries — Strawberry, Grape, Chuppa Chupps Blackberry and Chuppa Chupps Cherry, the last two found nowhere else on VapeVic. Four more are plain fruit or berry blends: Strawberry Raspberry, Blueberry Raspberry, Kiwi Pineapple and Cherry Pomegranate. Then the three-fruit Blackberry Cherry Pomegranate, the dessert-named Black Forest, and a single-word Strawberry that is the plainest name on the whole site.

That accounts for eleven. Two more are Tropical Orange Monster and Cherry Monster, which name a fruit and are read as uncooled by the convention above. The fourteenth is the third Monster, Blue Monster, is dealt with in the grey-areas section — its name gives you a colour, not an ingredient.

IGET Bar Pro: nineteen uncooled, twelve cooled

With 31 names the IGET Bar Pro has the most cooled flavours on VapeVic — twelve — and, because the list is so long, nineteen without Ice, second only to the CRWN Infinity's twenty-one. Reading them by type:

  • Fruit blends: Raspberry Grape, Strawberry Raspberry, Blueberry Raspberry, Kiwi Pineapple, Cherry Pomegranate, Blackberry Pomegranate Cherry, Raspberry Cherry Blackberry, Strawberry Passion Fruit Mango and Strawberry Lychee.
  • Drink, sweet-shop and dessert names: Orange Fanta Soda, Blueberry Raspberry Bubble Gum, Fruity Skittles, Chuppa Chupps Strawberry, Chuppa Chupps Grape and the dessert-named Black Forest.
  • Names with a flourish we do not interpret: Strawberry Cranberry Bliss, Blueberry Blast and Banana Buzz — the fruit word is the only part we read.
  • And Dynamic Mint, again, which is a mint rather than a cooled fruit.

One trap on this device: Passion Fruit Peach Iced Tea reads as warm until you notice the Iced, and Blackberry Yogurt Ice Berry hides its Ice in the middle of the name. Both are cooled.

CRWN Infinity: no Ice in any name, and the box covers the rest

None of the CRWN Infinity's 21 names carries Ice, which on paper makes it the menthol-free device of the range. The names that describe an ingredient are Double Apple, Grape Lemon, Passion Fruit Guava, Kiwi Dragon Berry, Peach Cola, Strawberry Bubblegum, Mango Smoothie, and the two mint names Gum Mint and Peppermint Shake. Those seven non-mint names belong on this list.

The other twelve are CRWN house names, and for those we go by the ingredients CRWN prints on the box. Four of those boxes have no mint and no cooling word, so they join the list: Martino gives strawberry, lemonade and milkshake; Habibilicious has cherry, lime and blueberry; Diamond Dust carries five, candy, orange, pineapple, raspberry and lime; and Malibu Bliss reads blueberry, colada and raspberry. Seven more — Don Juan, The Duke, Lady Killer, Love 66, Funky Monkey, JK777 and Izmir Romantic — end their lists with mint, so they belong with the mints below. That leaves Baghdad Nights, whose box reads banana, taffy and freeze; freeze sits close enough to Ice that we leave it off. All of them run 25,000 puffs on a device with a USB-C port.

The mints, and the one grey area

Mint is a flavour, not a finish, so it needs its own rule. Dynamic Mint on the Blaze and Bar Pro, and Gum Mint and Peppermint Shake on the Infinity, are mint as the whole point — if you dislike menthol because you dislike cold, they are probably not for you; if you dislike it because it buries fruit, they contain no fruit to bury. The seven Infinity house names with mint on the box are a halfway case: mint comes last on each list, after fruit or, on Funky Monkey, after banana, custard, chocolate and cherry, so count them as mint flavours rather than menthol-free ones. Mountain Spring Mint Ice on the IGET One is the one mint that also declares cooling, and it is not on any list above.

The grey area is Blue Monster on the IGET One. The name tells you a colour and nothing about temperature or fruit, so it does not qualify for this list either way. Buy one if you are curious; do not buy it as a menthol-free pick.

Picking by profile across the four devices

If you want a single fruit with nothing added, the IGET One's Strawberry is the only single-fruit name without Ice on the site. If you want the warm watermelon pairing, the Blaze is the only device that sells it without Ice. For a soft drink, the Bar Pro's Orange Fanta Soda and the Infinity's Peach Cola are the two choices. For a shisha-lounge profile, Double Apple on the Infinity is the classic. For the lolly register, the Chuppa Chupps names are on all three sealed devices and the IGET One has the most of them. Every one of those links to a page where you can see the device, the count and the current stock before you decide.
